Terms & Policies

Starting with a consult

• We recommend beginning with a consultation, so we can talk through your goals and evaluate your dog's needs.
• Consults are held at the farm, Tuesday through Saturday, 9 am to 6 pm.

Private lessons at the farm

• You and your dog train together. We show you how to create and shape the behaviors, and you reinforce the work at home.
• Basic Obedience is six one-hour lessons over six weeks. Each lesson builds on the last.
• Plan on 30 to 45 minutes of practice a day. By the end, dogs show solid on-leash obedience for as long as the daily practice continues.
• Advanced Obedience is a five-week program that moves the work off leash. It includes an E-Collar Technologies remote collar.
• Advanced Obedience requires a completed Basic Obedience package or a Structured Start board and train first.
• After either package, you can book single private lessons.

In-home training

• A six-week private program that mirrors the farm lessons but takes place in your home.
• It costs more than the farm program, to cover travel time and scheduling.

Board & Train

• Programs run two, four or six weeks, and longer for specialized programs. Your dog lives here as part of our pack and trains several times a day, on and off leash, with controlled real-world exposure depending on the package.
• Every program includes weekly progress videos and a full year of go-home lessons, so you learn to keep the training.
• Structured Start is two weeks of basic on-leash obedience: sit, down, stay, place, off, loose-leash walking and leave it. It includes a premium leather leash and a Herm Sprenger collar.
• HOA Approved is two weeks of advanced obedience with off-leash control around the home. It includes an E-Collar Technologies remote collar, and requires a completed Basic Obedience package or a Structured Start first.
• Freedom Unleashed is four weeks of executive-level obedience for full family integration, with training field trips: retail shopping, patio dining, breweries, greenways and riverwalks, and holiday travel.
• Puppy Freedom Unleashed is for puppies under six months. It runs six weeks in two phases: a two-week board and train before six months old, then more training at about six to eight months to formalize and proof the work.
• Aggression and Reactivity Management is a six-week minimum. It includes muzzle training for public safety, controlled exposure to other dogs for neighborhood walks, and structured guest manners at home.
• Foundational Service Dog is a six-week minimum. It includes everything in Freedom Unleashed plus agreed-upon foundational service dog behaviors, with task work developed as needed.
• Entry-Level Protection Dog is a six-week minimum. You must attend training sessions with your dog twice before the program ends, and commit to ongoing follow-up support.

Day & Train

• Your dog comes for one day a week for five weeks and goes home the same evening, so you can practice and reinforce the week's skills.
• Drop-off is 8 to 10 am. Pick-up is 4 to 6 pm. At each pick-up you receive a lesson plan for the coming week.
• Pricing and the exact structure are set at the consult, because needs vary by dog. Some dogs benefit from two full Day & Train packages.

Saturday group class

• Saturdays, 10:30 to 11:00 am, at Riverwalk in Rock Hill or at the farm.
• Classes cover advanced obedience, handling skills and social training in real-world settings.
• You must be enrolled in one of our training programs to take part.

Boarding

• Boarding is open to our training clients first. Dogs that have not trained with us are taken as space allows.
• You pay per day, for each day your dog is on the property.
• Drop-off and pick-up windows are 8 to 10 am or 4 to 6 pm, Monday through Saturday. We are closed on Sundays.
• $35 a day for a dog that has trained with us, or is training with us now.
• $40 a day for the housemate of a dog that trained with us.
• $65 a day for the general public.
